CANCHALAGUA Schkuhria pinnata
Canchalagua is a small, herbaceous plant, that grows in mountainous regions of South America. It is a mild bitter tonic traditionally used as a blood cleanser, kidney and digestive tonic, as well as a treatment for respiratory problems, fevers, & headaches. Externally it is considered excellent for skin and an infusion is applied to acne and wounds. A tea can be made by steeping 1 or more teaspoons per cup.
